How to Fund Your COL via Metrobankdirect

If you have a COL stock account, there are many ways to fund your account. One of the easy ways I fund my own account is through Metrobankdirect. This is Metrobank's online portal. While BDO and BPI have their own online portals, my preference is to fund my account using Metrobankdirect. My prime reason is its convenience. This is because my payroll account is with Metrobank. Having enrolled said account online, I can now easily fund my COL using this channel. Online funding via this channel is also okay for me because not only do I save time but I also save on fees. Funding online is free.
Check out below for the quick rundown on how to fund your COL online account via Metrobankdirect:
  1. Log in to your Metrobankdirect account.
  2. Click on PAY BILLS under Deposit Accounts tab.
  3. For registered account, simply look for COL Financial Group Inc. from your list of registered billers. Then input the amount you intend to deposit to your COL as below:

    Don't forget to also select the Account from which the money will come from (debit account) to fund the account. This applies only if you have more than one Metrobank account registered.
    If you wish to use this channel each time you fund your COL, it is best to Register your COL account first. This way, you need not input your account details each time you fund the account.

    However, for unregistered account, select Special Biller. Under Category, choose Investments and COL Financial Group Inc. as Biller, from the pop-up menu. Then enter your 8-digit account number, and enter amount. Press Continue.
    Once done, you will be directed to the Transaction Confirmation page.

  4. Check the details you have inputted, and if everything is correct, click Confirm. Click Back if you need to make corrections on your entry.

  5. Upon hitting Confirm, you will be directed to the Transaction Acknowledgment page.
    6.  This confirms your bill payment transaction. After this, you will then receive an email notification sent to your registered email to acknowledge officially your payment transaction.
  6. Check your registered email for confirmation of your bill payment transaction.

  • The next day, you will also receive an email confirmation from COL acknowledging your deposit transaction.
    • And you're done.

    Pay PAG-IBIG Housing Loan Via Metrobankdirect

    A few days back, I went to PAG-IBIG Ayala Cebu Branch to submit the receipt of my realty tax payment for the years 2017 and 2018. While one can actually send the scanned receipt online, I opted to submit mine in person. Good thing I did so because then I learned about the following announcement: Apparently, effective July 2018, all housing loan borrowers are advised to pay their housing loans through different payment channels (as indicated in the announcement). Rather than wait for the July 1 start date, I thought I'd give paying via Metrobankdirect--Metrobank's online channel--a try. Actually, the reason I opened a Metrobank account was primarily for this purpose. However, I didn't use the account as I initially intended because paying over the counter gives my mother a chance to drop by Ayala Center.     5 Steps to Enroll Your Metrobank Account Online

    Below is a quick run-through of how to enroll your Metrobank account online: The steps enumerated are from the perspective of those who have a Metrobank ATM savings account. Thus, the form in step no. 3 asks for details of your ATM Card number ( not your bank account ) and your PIN number---the same PIN number you key in when transacting with an ATM machine. Note that your ATM card only has sixteen (16) digits. The form will require you to input 19 digits. Thus, don't forget to add three zeroes after the card number to complete the 19-digit requirement. If you don't have an ATM account, but have a Metrobank credit card instead, you simply select Credit Card from the drop-down menu. The form that you will fill out then will include your credit card number, the embossed name (the one shown on your credit card), the CVC/CVV number (the 3-digit number at the back of your card), and the expiry date.
