darn. first it was linkin park (august 2013), and now them:
their concert is just 10 days away and i learned of it just now!

i don't think i can cough up enough moolah to be able to see these beautiful guys, even from afar. their cheapest ticket is pegged at 1,060 pesos. i don't mind attending concerts from afar, especially since that's what i can only afford.
when my brother told me about this concert earlier tonight, i did some quick calculation and search:
  • airfare ticket (estimate): 3,000
  • terminal fee: 400 (if not included in the ticket) (200 mactan/200 naia)
  • taxi fare: 500 (T3 - MOA Arena - T3)
  • food (dinner 8/breakfast 9): 500
  • overnight hotel: 2,000 or go straight to airport after concert
i truly want to go and hear rob thomas sing live, but doing so constitutes a big breach to the plan of saving up. well, i could just tell myself, that i can start saving after this, haha.

perhaps, the brief aftershock felt earlier is telling me to give myself a shake and be realistic about it, and just stop thinking about going to the concert!

lastly, i doubt if i can convince anyone to do this with me on a short notice! (my practical mind is shouting, DON'T, as i just might consider breaking the bank just to hear ROB THOMAS, LIVE!!!

Pay PAG-IBIG Housing Loan Via Metrobankdirect

A few days back, I went to PAG-IBIG Ayala Cebu Branch to submit the receipt of my realty tax payment for the years 2017 and 2018. While one can actually send the scanned receipt online, I opted to submit mine in person. Good thing I did so because then I learned about the following announcement: Apparently, effective July 2018, all housing loan borrowers are advised to pay their housing loans through different payment channels (as indicated in the announcement). Rather than wait for the July 1 start date, I thought I'd give paying via Metrobankdirect--Metrobank's online channel--a try. Actually, the reason I opened a Metrobank account was primarily for this purpose. However, I didn't use the account as I initially intended because paying over the counter gives my mother a chance to drop by Ayala Center. She normally does not go to the mall, but paying my HDMF housing loan gives her a reason to do so. But with this new policy, I guess I have no other choice but to comply

Below is a quick run-through of how to enroll your Metrobank account online: The steps enumerated are from the perspective of those who have a Metrobank ATM savings account. Thus, the form in step no. 3 asks for details of your ATM Card number ( not your bank account ) and your PIN number---the same PIN number you key in when transacting with an ATM machine. Note that your ATM card only has sixteen (16) digits. The form will require you to input 19 digits. Thus, don't forget to add three zeroes after the card number to complete the 19-digit requirement. If you don't have an ATM account, but have a Metrobank credit card instead, you simply select Credit Card from the drop-down menu.
